Law360 quoted partner Jonathan Zimmerman in a story about unanswered questions on the impact on employers from the US Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Jonathan, who co-leads the firm’s reproductive rights task force, said states that have restricted abortion rights have yet to target employers that provide employees assistance with out-of-state abortion travel.
"As far as we can tell, based on what we've seen so far, it doesn't seem like any of the new state laws would punish an employer for helping an employee travel out of state to get an abortion," Jonathan said.
