Partner Maarika Kimbrell, former director of the US Food and Drug Administration’s Office of New Drug Policy, spoke with The National Law Journal about joining Morgan Lewis. Maarika said she was drawn, in part, to the chance to work with others in the firm’s life sciences practice.
“The practice itself is growing. So I think that speaks to increased demand in general, but also I would say that in the FDA regulatory space in general, the issues facing clients over the last many years have become more complicated and more nuanced,” Maarika said. “And so there’s increased awareness and need for sophisticated and strategic counsel on those issues.”
