BOSTON, July 21, 2023: Three Morgan Lewis partners have been recognized as part of Law.com’s inaugural New England Legal Awards, which honor professional excellence in law in Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Jonathan Albano was named a Lifetime Achievement honoree, and Laurie Cerveny and Suzanne Filippi were named Distinguished Leaders.
Jon focuses his practice primarily on commercial, media, and appellate litigation. His commercial litigation work includes representation of private and public companies and financial institutions. Jon has tried and obtained favorable results for clients in contract disputes, libel, purchase price adjustment, and complex construction claims and has argued more than 40 appeals.
Laurie serves as the firm’s Managing Partner of Industries & Strategic Initiatives, leading Morgan Lewis’s industry teams and numerous initiatives and task forces. She has more than 25 years of experience counseling on mergers and acquisitions, ongoing disclosure and reporting requirements, corporate governance, and various other matters affecting US and multinational public and private companies and their officers, boards, and directors.
Suzanne focuses on US and global transactions in the life sciences industry, representing both multinational pharmaceutical companies and public or private biotechnology companies. She counsels clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, with an emphasis on complex license and collaboration agreements, co-commercialization/co-promotion matters, and mergers, acquisitions, and externalizations in the life sciences sector.
Jon, Laurie, Suzanne, and other honorees will be celebrated at an awards dinner September 21 in Boston.
