Partners Lesli Ligorner and Ning Zhang spoke to China Business Law Journal about key trends and legal issues that businesses should be aware of in China.
Discussing data protection measures introduced by the Cyberspace Administration of China, Ning said, “they are similar to the SCC [standard contract clause] requirements under the GDPR [General Data Protection Regulation] and are effectively an agreement between the data handler and the recipient relating to handling, storage and deletion, among other areas.”
Considering its development in the region, China has “one of the largest and most active life sciences and pharmaceutical industries,” said Lesli.
