SINGAPORE, January 4, 2024: Singapore Business Review has named Morgan Lewis senior associates Chrystle Kuek and Widya Rianita among Singapore’s most influential lawyers under age 40. The 20 lawyers recognized on the list have represented big-name clients in complex investigations, litigation, and transactions.
Chrystle advises clients on equity and debt capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate restructurings. She has assisted clients with initial and secondary public offerings; placements and subscriptions of securities including shares, options, bonds, and convertible instruments; and general offers including mandatory and voluntary offers. Chrystle’s recent work includes representing consumer electronics chain Challenger Technologies on a take-private bid by United Overseas Bank for and on behalf of DigiTech Holding.
Widya focuses her practice on M&A and private equity transactions, along with joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Malay, Widya represents private equity funds, multinationals, sovereign wealth funds, state-owned enterprises, and banks, particularly in Southeast Asia including Singapore and Indonesia. She has handled complex transactions, including representing the ASEAN Industrial Growth Fund in the sale of its stake in Jaya Grocer and KFC franchises in Thailand, and advising Keppel Corporation on a merger of its offshore and marine business with Sembcorp Marine.
