Communications Daily recently quoted partner Andrew Lipman, from his commentary on a Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and Light Reading webinar. During the webinar, Andrew said that installers and equipment providers can anticipate “a very busy [next] four years.”
He also noted that a financial issue for potential Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program providers is the state of the affordable connectivity program (ACP). “Eliminating the ACP or tightening its eligibility requirements could affect state BEAD plans for addressing unserved and underserved areas, as state plans often assume a permanent ACP contribution,” Andrew said.
