Global Competition Review quoted partner Joshua Goodman in an article about the US Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) legal challenges in banning non-compete agreements, highlighting that while a recent preliminary ruling by a Texas federal judge against the FTC is significant, it leaves room for different judicial interpretations by other courts in future cases.
“That said, at this stage, this is a preliminary ruling that only applies to the parties in that case, so other courts could still potentially interpret the FTC’s authority differently,” said Joshua.
