Who Gets “No Tax on Overtime”? It’s Messy, The Wall Street Journal

Partner Steven Johnson was quoted in an article in The Wall Street Journal discussing a new federal tax policy that allows certain types of overtime pay to be tax-deductible; however, determining who qualifies is complex, and many workers expecting relief may not receive it.

Steven noted that “[e]mployers responsible for implementing the deduction don’t get direct benefits” and many employers “have to explain to employees the differences between overtime amounts on pay stubs and tax forms.”
