Partner Loyaan Egal was quoted in a CyberScoop article on the Sixth Circuit’s decision to uphold the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) authority to expand telecom data breach notification requirements to cover personally identifiable information.
Loyaan, former chief of the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau, observed that “most people thought this new expansion of data breach notification requirements was more than likely probably going to be rejected by the court, and surprisingly it wasn’t.”
