Partner Hubert de Vauplane was quoted in Libération discussing the European Central Bank’s (ECB’s) digital euro initiative, which is slated for a pilot launch in 2027, pending legislative approval.

“It’s more about asserting European sovereignty than developing a specific use case,” he said.
