Part II of the series focused on the collapse of a US semiconductor startup amid allegations of intellectual property theft. Mike said the development could spur further guidance from the US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
“This really is yet another recent example of what you would consider to be a traditional white-collar corporate enforcement matter really bleeding into the world of trade regulation,” Mike said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if, as this case develops, you see something from BIS similar to the May 2025 guidance.”
