Tariffs, Forced-Labor Scrutiny Create New Compliance Challenges for U.S. Business Imports, Continuing Education of the Bar

Continuing Education of the Bar quoted partner Casey Weaver in an article about increased supply chain compliance challenges as the United States imposes new tariffs tied to forced-labor concerns and intensifies scrutiny of foreign importers.

Casey noted that companies are increasingly expected to conduct more extensive supplier diligence as tariff and forced- labor enforcement converge.

“Digging into supply chains is becoming more popular from a tariff perspective and forced labor perspective,” she said.
