Trump Foreign Equipment Order Perplexes Power Cos., Law360

Partner Arjun Ramadevanahalli was quoted by Law360 in an article examining the potential implications of a new executive order restricting imports of certain foreign equipment used in the US bulk power system.

Arjun discussed the challenge facing the US Department of Energy as it develops rules to implement the order, including balancing national security considerations with the practical needs of the power industry. 

“At the end of the day, they do have to address the national security risk,” he said. “But they also have to make something that can be realistically implemented by the industry.”
