Morgan Lewis employment partner Louise Skinner authored an article for The Global Recruiter about amendments to Section 1 of the UK’s Employment Rights Act 1996, which impose new obligations on employers in the provision of written statements of particulars of employment.
In the article, Louise states that the changes result from the government's response to the Good Work Plan in which it agreed that workers should be given “clarity and transparency about their employment and, in particular, their employment rights so that they can make informed choices and fully understand the terms they are signing up to.”
