Partner Larry Turner wrote a column for International Employment Lawyer discussing potential threats to employers’ diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts posed by the Harvard University and University of North Carolina affirmative action cases before the US Supreme Court and state legislation restricting college DEI programs. Larry notes that even with anti-DEI sentiment in many states, others have passed legislation in support of diversity initiatives.
“Ultimately, employers must be cognisant of the range of viewpoints, assess the acceptable level of risk for their organisation, identify their north star, and continue to move forward,” he wrote.
