Kiran Jassal

Kiran Jassal’s practice covers trademark, copyright, and unfair competition law, with a focus on corporate transactions, specifically mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and licenses. Kiran also handles internet enforcement matters as well as international trademark clearance, including developing cost-effective approaches to multijurisdictional clearance and protection.

Extended Profile

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Kiran was an IP fellow at General Electric Company in Greater New York City. As a fellow, she managed several international trademark portfolios and assisted on a range of prosecution matters, including trademark clearance, opposition, registration, and maintenance issues. Kiran routinely drafted affidavits attesting to the fame of GE marks for submission in domestic and international opposition proceedings.

While attending law school, Kiran was a summer associate and law clerk at a boutique IP law firm in Seattle, Washington and served as editor-in-chief of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts. She was also a member of the Seattle IP Inn of Court and served as a law school senator for the University of Washington’s Graduate & Professional Student Senate. Upon graduation, Kiran received a leadership award in recognition of her outstanding commitment to the law school community.
