Abbey M. Glenn specializes in complex class action litigation arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) involving retirement plan investments, plan fees and expenses, and prohibited transactions. Abbey defends lawsuits involving all types of employee benefit plans, including 401(k) and 403(b) plans, defined-benefit plans, top-hat plans, severance plans, and health and welfare plans. She litigates in courts nationwide, successfully obtaining Rule 12 dismissals and summary judgment in challenges to plan fees and expenses, investment performance, and other fiduciary decisions. Abbey secured a full defense verdict after an eight-day trial involving fiduciary breach claims relating to 401(k) plan investment options and the compensation paid to plan service providers.

Abbey has broad experience in fiduciary breach and employee benefit matters of all kinds. In addition to her litigation practice, Abbey counsels clients on risk management and represents clients in investigations brought by the Department of Labor.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Abbey was a fellow at the Office of the Attorney General in the California Department of Justice. While in law school, Abbey completed a judicial externship with Judge Edward M. Chen of the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
