Trump’s Orders Drive Rapid Changes at Nuclear Regulatory Commission, The National Law Journal

Partner Brooke Clark was quoted in a National Law Journal article examining how recent executive actions and the ADVANCE Act are accelerating regulatory changes at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and reshaping the agency’s role in supporting nuclear energy development.

Brooke noted that, despite the rapid pace of rulemaking and policy changes, there has been no indication that the NRC is unable to fulfill its statutory mission.

“The NRC is viewed as a gold standard regulator,” she said. “I know it wants to keep that reputation. It is good for the American nuclear industry for that to be the case, because our own domestic industry seeks to have a larger presence, both domestically and internationally.”
