Patent Agent

Anne Kil, Ph.D., focuses her practice on patent prosecution in the engineering and life sciences fields. She assists clients with drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a broad range of technologies, including hardware and software systems, user interfaces, optical and sensing technologies, data-driven platforms, and systems spanning wet-lab technologies, experimental protocols, and computational biology workflows. Anne assists with presenting technical concepts clearly and accurately throughout the patent prosecution process.

Before practicing patent law, Anne earned her Ph.D. in medical engineering from Caltech, where her research focused on computational biology for precision medicine and the development of open-source medical and biological devices. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, where she developed a strong foundation in hardware systems, signal processing, and computational methods. This combined training enables Anne to work fluently across electrical engineering, software, and life sciences technologies, bridging technical development with clinical and research applications.
