April Sherwood has more than a decade of experience in eDiscovery and has been with the eData practice at Morgan Lewis since 2011. April’s practice is centered at the intersection of law and technology, where she handles the eDiscovery lifecycle of complex litigation matters, provides guidance on information governance and data privacy, and helps clients meet regulatory and legal requirements with cost-effective risk management. Her clients include corporate, banking, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, private clients, and technology sectors worldwide.
April has counseled clients in connection with securities litigations, as well as investigations and enforcement actions brought by a wide range of regulators, including the US Department of Justice.
She responds to cyber incidents with early case assessment and provides guidance on incident response plans, including guidance related to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and notice requirements.
April has managed large-scale reviews from the collection phase to production and has experience using threading, AI/Technology Assisted Review (TAR), and data analytics to accomplish data reduction and streamline reviews for cost-effectiveness and accuracy.
