Ben Stango serves as legal counsel and trusted advisor to clients across the full spectrum of debt finance transactions—ranging from credit facilities and bond offerings to M&A, restructurings, and strategic investments.
As part of the firm’s borrower finance team, Ben works closely with CFOs, treasurers, heads of capital markets, general counsels, and in-house legal teams to help finance the future of their businesses. He counsels a wide range of clients, including public and private companies, private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, nonprofits (including community development financial institutions), and high-net-worth individuals.
Ben advises on syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, leveraged buyouts, asset-based lending, private credit and direct lending transactions, factoring and receivables financings, commercial paper programs, intercompany loans, and venture debt financings. His work spans industries including healthcare, aerospace, retail, and life sciences, with deal sizes from under $1 million to more than $6 billion. His MBA from The Wharton School helps drive his commercial approach to legal strategy.
At Morgan Lewis, Ben serves on the Philadelphia Professional Recruiting Committee and has participated in firmwide leadership through the Global Committee on Associates, ESG Working Group, and multiple other committees.
Ben remains active in the Greater Philadelphia civic and legal communities. He serves on the board of the Support Center for Child Advocates, where he volunteers as a Child Advocate pro bono attorney, and on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he co-chairs the Large Firm Associates Committee. Ben also advises a range of civic and political organizations throughout the region.
