Ben Stango counsels clients through a broad range of corporate and finance transactions. As a business-minded lawyer, he serves as both legal counsel and advisor. Ben’s core borrower finance practice focuses on guiding borrowers—from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 companies—through syndicated credits with institutional lenders, leveraged acquisition and asset-based financings, and senior and mezzanine venture financings. Ben has experience managing financings, with facility sizes ranging from under $1 million to over $2 billion, across an array of industries.
Through his borrower finance work, Ben partners with chief financial officers, treasurers, directors of finance, heads of capital markets, general counsels, and other in-house lawyers to help them finance the future of their businesses.
Ben spent over a decade working in government, nonprofits, and political campaigns across the US east coast before joining the firm. With an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, he brings a unique perspective on business, law, and government to serve his clients’ needs.
At the firm, Ben serves on the Global Associates Committee, advising the firm Chair and leadership team on associate matters, the Philadelphia Associates Committee, the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Working Group, and the Philadelphia Professional Recruiting Committee.
Ben remains heavily engaged in Philadelphia’s civic community. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Support Center for Child Advocates where he volunteers as a Child Advocate pro bono attorney. Ben is also an advisor to numerous civic and political organizations throughout Philadelphia.
