Erin McBride focuses her practice on intellectual property (IP) disputes involving patents and trade secrets, leveraging a strong technical background in computer engineering. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Erin was a software engineer at an aerospace and defense company, where she worked on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) sensors and payloads. Her industry experience ranges from firmware and software development to system architecture design and data management.

Erin earned her M.S. at the University of Vermont. While attending graduate school, she taught an introductory computer science course and conducted research for computer science faculty on agent-based models. At the University of Wisconsin Law School, Erin served as senior note and comment editor of the Wisconsin International Law Journal, where she published a case note. She was also a member of Wisconsin Law School’s Moot Court Board and president of the Technology & Intellectual Property Student Organization.
