Eunjean Je focuses on patent prosecution within the broad field of electrical and computer engineering areas, including automotive technologies, computer software, signal processing, video coding and medical devices. She has also assisted clients in building patent portfolios for IPO and performed freedom to operate and infringement analyses.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Eunjean worked as a patent attorney in Korea for 12 years, where she assisted clients in establishing and managing standard essential patent portfolios related to 5G and point cloud compression standards (G-PCC, V-PCC). She managed US and other foreign applications related to 3GPP standards, video/audio codec standards (HEVC/H.265, VVC, AV1, VP9), cloud computing systems, broadcast signal system standards (DVB, ATSC 3.0 ARIB (Japanese broadcast signal system)), and cyber security systems for large corporations and start-up companies. Eunjean has experience in standard-essential patent evaluation processes directed to broadcast signal system standards (ATSC, DVB, ARIB) and video coding standards.
