Fredrick T. Philantrope
Fredrick T. Philantrope represents a broad range of clients across the sports, retail, technology, ecommerce, financial services, healthcare, and life sciences industries. He advises on complex commercial transactions and global outsourcing arrangements, including the structuring and negotiation of a wide array of technology, commercial, and licensing agreements. His experience includes drafting and negotiating agreements related to sponsorships, partnerships, promotions, branding, marketing, retail merchandising, event management, outsourcing, manufacturing, distribution, supply, research and development services, and product and intellectual property licenses. Freddy works closely with business and legal stakeholders to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions to clients managing complex commercial relationships and enterprise-level risk.
Prior to joining the firm, Freddy was an associate at another global law firm, where he represented emerging company clients across the technology and life sciences sectors on a wide variety of commercial and corporate transactions, including strategic collaborations, complex licensing arrangements, and mergers and acquisitions.
Freddy is actively engaged in the legal community and previously served as chair of the Programs and Professional Development and Student Support Committees of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. During law school, he was a student attorney in Georgetown Law’s Center for Applied Legal Studies, where he represented an asylum seeker in an affirmative asylum proceeding, and he interned with the Division of Corporation Finance at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
