Lacey Johnson advises clients in the alternative investments and private fund industries. She counsels managers on corporate governance matters and the structuring of private investment funds across various asset classes, including private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, and impact investments. Lacey assists institutional investors with structuring their investments in private funds and other alternative investment products. She also assists clients with a wide range of securities regulatory issues facing investment advisers, including counseling on regulatory compliance, SEC examinations, and review of policies and marketing materials.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Lacey served as a deputy to elected officials in the Los Angeles area, advancing community and economic development investments in affordable housing, public infrastructure, and small businesses. Lacey also served as an adjunct professor in community development finance at local colleges in Los Angeles and previously worked on the investment teams of several impact fund managers and intermediaries.
