Narumi Ito advises various financial institutions including banks, securities companies, asset management companies on financial transactions involving corporate finance, structured finance, and derivatives. He also advises on financial regulatory matters relating to the Banking Act and the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, with matters concerning formation, registration, and operation of investment funds. He also deals with general corporate matters relating to the Companies Act, among others.
Working closely with lawyers in the Morgan Lewis global network, Narumi supports various Japanese corporations in cross-border transactions and in investments including M&A and venture capital investments in the United States and elsewhere.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Narumi worked at one of the largest Japanese law firms for nearly 10 years. In addition, he served as a public officer of the Financial Services Agency of Japan where he was in charge of drafting financial regulatory provisions such as the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act. Narumi also has experience in working at a Japanese securities company, where he dealt with structuring complex finance transactions.
