Nicholas R. Stango focuses his practice on aviation finance. Nick advises clients on a variety of aviation transactions that include the purchase, sale, and lease of both aircraft and aircraft engines. Nick has represented clients in transactions with air carriers in the United States and throughout the world, including in Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, England, Ethiopia, France, Ireland, Jordan, Malaysia, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Thailand, and Turkey. Nick has a strong background in the aerospace industry with prior experience as an aerospace engineer and as a patent attorney preparing and prosecuting aerospace patent applications.
Upon graduating, Nick spent several years working as an aerospace engineer for the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation prior to entering the legal field. While at Sikorsky, Nick had the opportunity to work on many different helicopters, including the S-92, S-76, CH-148, Black Hawk, and SB>1 Defiant. Upon graduating law school, Nick worked as a patent attorney preparing and prosecuting patent applications for Fortune 500 companies, including large US-based aerospace companies. Nick’s aerospace background allows him to bring real world experience to his practice.
