Nicholas R. Stango focuses his practice on aviation finance. Nick advises clients on a variety of transactions that include sales and leases of both aircraft and engines. He has a strong background in the aerospace industry with prior experience in patent preparation and prosecution for a variety of aerospace products and as an aerospace engineer.
Nick studied aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. While at the University of Illinois, Nick was a member of the Division 1 varsity men’s gymnastics team. Nick was a three-year letter winner, an All-America Scholar Athlete, a Big Ten Conference Scholar Athlete, a University of Illinois George Huff Award recipient, and a member of the 2009 Big Ten Championship Team.
Upon graduating from the University of Illinois, Nick spent several years working as an aerospace engineer for the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation prior to entering the legal field. While at Sikorsky, Nick had the opportunity to work on many different aircraft, including the S-92, S-76, CH-148, Black Hawk, and SB>1 Defiant. Nick’s aerospace engineering background allows him to bring real world experience to his practice.
