Philip Cheveley
Phil Cheveley advises public and private companies, financial sponsors, and investment banks on complex cross-border and domestic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), public takeovers, equity offerings, and other strategic corporate matters. He has decades of experience guiding clients through high-value, multijurisdictional deals, with a practice that sits at the intersection of M&A, capital markets, and private equity.
Phil works with clients across a range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, technology, transportation, and sport. He is recognized for his ability to traverse sophisticated public company transactions and deliver commercially focused advice in fast-moving and highly regulated environments.
In addition to his transactional practice, Phil counsels boards and senior management teams on corporate governance, strategic decision-making, and shareholder matters. His approach emphasizes practical solutions tailored to clients’ business objectives, often serving as a trusted adviser on their most significant transactions.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Phil was a partner at another global law firm.
