Sameer V. Mohan currently serves as deputy leader of the firm’s global corporate and business transactions practice, while concurrently serving as office leader of the Houston and Dallas practices. Advised UK-based Megger Group Ltd. and its US subsidiary, AVO International, in a carve-out acquisition of the Baker Instrument Co. division of SKF USA Inc.
Advised James Harden, professional basketball star with the Houston Rockets, and his company 13 Endeavors, LLC, in connection with his acquisition of a minority ownership interest in the Houston Dynamo, a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, along with the Houston Dash, a Women’s Major League Soccer franchise, and BBVA Compass Stadium.
Advised Alpine Investors, a San Francisco-based private equity fund, in its acquisition of Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons Inc., an ophthalmology practice with four facilities in Ohio, and its related optical business, laser operations, and ambulatory surgical center; as well as Ohio Eye Care Consultants LLC, an ophthalmology practice with two facilities in Ohio
Advised Western Dental Services Inc. and its parent company, Premier Dental Holdings Inc., in an acquisition of the dental service organization operations from various affiliates of The Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America.

Advised a major offshore midstream joint venture company in an interconnect and construction agreement for a multibillion dollar deepwater crude pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico with an operator of interconnect facilities on behalf of a consortium of oil producers
Advised a major offshore midstream company in a joint venture with another major offshore pipeline company to construct a new natural gas pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico on behalf of a consortium of gas producers
Advised a midstream company in the acquisition of a $200 million natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline and gas conditioning plant in North Dakota
Advised a private equity-sponsored energy midstream company in a construction and processing agreement with respect to an off-gas processing plant project with a major refiner in Louisiana
