Sara Kalis
Focusing her practice on the interplay between workplace regulations and business strategy, Sara Kalis advises employers on a variety of labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, representation proceedings, unfair labor practice matters, labor compliance, and labor strategy. She also provides strategic counsel to employers on labor issues stemming from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions. Sara draws on her extensive background representing leading employers in complex labor issues, both in-house and in private practice. She is admitted in Minnesota and New York only, and her practice is supervised by IL Bar members.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Sara held a senior in-house legal role at Amazon. There she helped build the company’s traditional labor function and advised on high-profile labor relations matters across business units in the United States and Canada. She also spent several years in private practice counseling employers on complex labor relations issues, including arbitration and National Labor Relations Board litigation.
