Toyomi Ohara focuses her practice on preparation, prosecution, and strategic counseling in a wide range of technologies, including chemical, pharmaceutical, life science and material science technologies for domestic and international clients. Toyomi has experience in all aspects of patent protection and enforcement. She has experience in conducting patent validity and non-infringement opinions and freedom-to-operate intellectual property matters. Her educational and work experience provide her with a unique ability to assist with intellectual property matters.
Before joining the firm, Toyomi worked for a Japanese patent firm, where she gained experience in Japanese patent practice. She was also a researcher in a Japanese pharmaceutical company for many years, concentrating in development of functional foods and beverages.
