Toyomi Ohara’s patent work involves organic, pharmaceutical, polymer, inorganic chemistry, biotechnology, and medical devices. Before joining Morgan Lewis, Toyomi was a member of a Japanese intellectual property law firm, where she worked on chemical patent applications and advised clients on patent rights, invalidation, and infringement in Japan and the United States. She conducted pharmaceutical research and development as a chemical researcher at a Japanese pharmaceutical company, and has co-authored seven scientific publications. She is fluent in Japanese.
