Jared Wilkerson
Jared Wilkerson is a litigator and trial attorney. He represents aerospace, energy, and technology clients in commercial, catastrophic personal injury, class action, and trade secret and employment disputes, with additional experience in internal and government investigations, international arbitrations, and real property contests involving construction defects, eminent domain, trespass, and title disputes. A fluent Spanish speaker, Jared often participates in matters that cross into Latin America. He is also co-leader of the firm's satellite and space commercialization working group.
- Won full defense judgment for oil & gas services provider after trial in federal court, denying plaintiff’s attempt to invalidate client’s protected marks
- Won international arbitration award on behalf of oil & gas services provider in a contract dispute against joint venturer
- Won defense award in arbitration on behalf of medical professionals sued for their alleged role in fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, and breach of contract
- Obtained favorable award for respondent in arbitration regarding alleged trespass, fraud, and breach of contract
- Won favorable jury verdict for aerospace company in multimillion-dollar personal injury suit
- Won full defense verdict for Houston-based energy company after eight-day trial in the Southern District of New York
- Represented plaintiff/condemnor in special commissioners’ hearing, after which commissioners awarded defendant/condemnee $23 million less than defendant sought
- Obtained summary judgment in $12 million oil & gas dispute
- Defended oilfield services company in personal injury lawsuits in Texas, Wyoming and North Dakota.
- Successfully represented oilfield services company in various employment discrimination disputes
- Provided briefing and expert collaboration in nine-figure international energy arbitration
- Prepared and prosecuted, to settlement, civil RICO complaint in federal court
- Won summary judgment for healthcare entity owed significant funds from Texas hospital
- Won full dismissal of wrongful death lawsuit for aerospace client
- Participated in internal investigation of major South American sports organization and assisted in presentation of findings to the US Department of Justice
- Participated in internal investigations of alleged political corruption and money laundering regarding Mexican political figures and assisted in presentation of findings to the US Department of Justice
- Participated in internal investigation of alleged international tax fraud and assisted in negotiations with US Department of Justice
- Participated in internal investigation of major higher education system and assisted in presentation of findings to board of trustees
- As a volunteer prosecutor, first-chaired numerous full jury trials to verdict, with a 100% success rate
