An Acceleration of Focus on US and EU Outbound Investment Into China

The potential for new controls on outbound investment has accelerated as the United States, China, and the European Union accommodate shifts in the investment environment. The introduction of new controls via executive order is appearing on the horizon, with legislative action by the US Congress also remaining an open issue.

Our panel led by David Plotinsky, former acting chief of the US Department of Justice’s Foreign Investment Review Section; Christina Renner, EU competition and trade lawyer; and Giovanna M.
