IBA Global Challenges and Opportunities for the Asset Management Industry Conference

Litigation partner Peter Pound spoke at the International Bar Association’s IBA Global Challenges and Opportunities for the Asset Management Industry Conference, which covers risk management frameworks, enforcement trends, compliance issues, and artificial intelligence (AI) challenges. 

Peter served as chair for the session How are Enforcement Issues Driving Compliance Agendas Globally? The view from the trenches in 2024. He was joined by Adam Aderton (Willkie Farr & Gallagher), Catherine Chamberlain (Vanguard Investments Canada), Eliza Dungworth (Fidelity International), and Tim Lewis (Travers Smith) to discuss various topics such as how asset managers manage enterprise-wide compliance and enforcement risks, how AI systems support operational compliance and create new enforcement challenges, and the key compliance/enforcement issues and risk factors driving compliance agendas.
