2025 Annual Meeting of the Tax Bar and Tax Policy

Tax partner Will Gorrod will be speaking at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Tax Bar and Tax Policy, a highly anticipated three-day conference for California tax professionals, hosted by the California Lawyers Association, welcoming more than 400 attendees including federal, state, and local tax officials.

Will is participating as a speaker on the panel Guns, Drugs, and Marine Invasive Species on Thursday, November 13, at 9:30 am. The panel will feature a discussion on the developing landscape of special taxes and fees administered by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, including the California Firearm, Ammunition, and Firearm Precursor Part Excise Tax (CFET), the Cannabis Excise Tax, and other special taxes and fees such as the Marine Invasive Species Fee.
