AHLA Long Term and Post-Acute Care Law and Compliance 2026
| Thursday, February 26, 2026 |
Partner Howard Young will moderate an interactive panel discussion at the American Health Law Association’s (AHLA’s) Long Term and Post-Acute Care Law and Compliance conference. Titled Value-Based Enterprise Care Coordination Arrangements: Innovation that Advances Post-Acute Care, the session will feature an impressive panel including a VP of value-based care, a chief compliance officer, and a deputy GC.
The hospital, long-term care facility, home health, hospice, and other home-centered care provider communities are focusing on value-based enterprise (VBE) care coordination arrangements. These agreements are proliferating across the industry as organizations view them as innovative arrangements to support integrated care pathways, shared-risk structures, and data-driven oversight. Their purpose is to promote stronger compliance, smoother transitions, and improved outcomes. While innovative and benefits-driven, if not properly designed, written, executed, and overseen, these agreements can present legal and compliance risks. Increasingly, providers are keen to understand how government authorities may approach potential fraud and abuse concerns.
Howard is at the forefront of healthcare legal and compliance issues. Thus, the unique role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and data analytics in VBE care coordination arrangements will also be discussed.
Howard’s panel will provide attendees with key insights into governmental actions, highlight trends in audits and investigations, and offer actionable guidance on mitigating legal and regulatory risk.
