General Counsel Conference East 2026

Monday, November 09, 2026 - Tuesday, November 10, 2026

Partner Carolyn Welshhans will speak at Law.com’s General Counsel Conference East on the panel When the Government Comes Knocking. The conference brings together general counsel, chief legal officers, and other in-house legal professionals to discuss the evolving legal and business issues shaping today's organizations.

The conference offers a forum for legal leaders to exchange ideas, build professional connections, and gain practical insights through sessions focused on topics such as artificial intelligence, strategic leadership, cybersecurity, global supply chains, data privacy, regulatory developments, and other emerging challenges facing corporate legal departments.

Carolyn and her panelists will provide practical guidance on responding to government investigations, examining how enforcement strategies and expectations vary across government agencies and regulators, including the DOJ, SEC, FINRA, FTC, DOL, and state regulators. The discussion will explore how organizations can effectively navigate parallel internal investigations, whistleblower complaints, and government inquiries while minimizing risk and maintaining a coordinated response. The panel will also highlight best practices for developing investigation protocols, including decision-making frameworks, document preservation, and communications with investigators.

Carolyn’s panel is on November 9 from 11:40 am–12:40 pm.
