Sergio emphasized the importance of reviewing coverage before a loss occurs. “You may think you’ve purchased insurance for your principal risk, only to discover that exposure is subject to a much lower sublimit or a broad exclusion. This makes promptly obtaining and analyzing your policy soon after it is bound critical.”
Josh noted that insurance should be considered alongside other risk management measures. “Companies should first identify and mitigate their operational risks – whether those involve grid security, physical infrastructure, or cybersecurity – and then use insurance as one component of a broader risk transfer strategy.”
