Morgan Lewis partner Kate Habershon was interviewed for an article in International Tax Review about the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) proposal for Pillar Two, which would allow countries to tax profits in other jurisdictions that have lower effective tax rates. Kate says that Pillar Two resembles previous attempts to introduce a common tax threshold within the European Union, saying, “It seems hard to envisage a global solution that aligns both tax and accounting rules.”
