Biden Administration Might Help Boost CARB’s Sweeping Climate Plans

Insights shared by partner Rick Rothman and associate David Brown during a Morgan Lewis Automotive Hour series webinar on environmental developments and challenges were highlighted by Insideepa.com in an article about the climate agenda of the California Air Resources Board (CARB). During the webinar Rick noted that CARB is going to come up with a road map to implement California Governor Gavin Newsom’s September 23 executive order that calls for an end to sales of new gasoline and diesel engines in light-duty passenger vehicles by 2035. He and David also pointed out that President-Elect Joe Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump in the November 3 election is likely to aid CARB in pursuing its ambitious and wide-ranging greenhouse gas-reduction strategies.
