Partner Wendy West Feinstein served as lead trial counsel for Teva Pharmaceuticals and affiliated entities, achieving the first trial defense win in the national opioid litigation. The trial victory came after seven years of litigation and more than four months of trial in Orange County Superior Court.
In a Q&A with The Legal Intelligencer, Wendy described the best legal advice she’s given and received. She also touched on what she may have pursued if not for lawyering, who her mentor is, and how to prepare the next generation of lawyers.
“We need to embrace change and, even if it looks and feels different than how we were trained, we need to ensure that we are communicating with (including listening, and giving timely and substantive feedback), mentoring, and providing meaningful opportunities for growth and challenge to the next generation of lawyers,” Wendy said.
