Morgan Lewis Absorbs Lit Boutique, Launching Seattle Office, The American Lawyer

To better serve the firm’s 60 clients in the Pacific Northwest, Morgan Lewis opened an office in Seattle with 14 lawyers from Seattle litigation boutique Calfo Eakes and five Morgan Lewis lawyers who relocated to the new office. Firm Chair Jami McKeon and managing partner Steven Wall told The American Lawyer that the firm had been looking to expand into Seattle for about two years and was connected to Calfo Eakes by a mutual client. Angelo Calfo and Patty Eakes, who were named partners at Calfo Eakes, are now co-managing partners of the Seattle office.

“As Morgan Lewis, we will continue to be nimble and responsive to changing client needs, while plugging into the firm’s global network to offer clients a full suite of services in financial centers across the world. It really offers our lawyers and our clients the best of both worlds,” Angelo said.
