Levi McAllister spoke with The New York Times regarding the path forward for the electric vehicle (EV) industry in light of the tax and policy bill passed by the US House of Representatives.
Levi emphasized that despite the potential cuts to federal funding for EVs and charging infrastructure proposed in the bill, the EV industry has been growing for several years and can survive without government help.
Companies designed their business plans with an awareness that subsidies could disappear someday, Levi said, adding, “Everybody who was active in this industry knew which way the wind was blowing.”
