Morgan Lewis Represents New York City Office of the Comptroller on $4.75 Billion Deal

NEW YORK, May 30, 2025: Morgan Lewis represented the New York City Office of the Comptroller on a secondary transaction undertaken by the New York City pension systems and one of the largest Limited Partner–led secondary transactions of all time, totaling $4.75 billion. The firm advised on behalf of the boards of the Teacher’s Retirement System of the City of New York, the New York City Employees’ Retirement System, the New York City Police Pension Fund, the New York City Fire Pension Fund, and the Board of Education Retirement System of the City of New York.

The New York City retirement systems comprise the City’s five public pension funds and are collectively the third largest public pension system in the nation, valued at approximately $279.14 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025.

Partners Christopher Dlutowski, Brian Jacobson, and Sarah-Jane Morin, as well as associates Brian Clement, Jessica Parsons, and Joseph Jung, advised the New York City Office of the Comptroller on the transaction.
