December 05, 2025PHILADELPHIA, December 5, 2025: The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) has announced that it will honor Morgan Lewis Chair Jami McKeon with its 2025 William Penn Award—the highest distinction bestowed by the Chamber upon a business executive. Since 1949, the annual award has celebrated individuals for their outstanding contributions toward the betterment of the region, their professional accomplishments, and their commitment to the community.
For over a decade, Ms. McKeon has led more than 4,000 lawyers, specialists, and professional staff across four continents and 17 time zones through significant growth and some of the most pivotal moments in recent history. Described as a bold and innovative leader, an industry pioneer, and a champion of belonging and inclusion, she has driven trailblazing initiatives that continue to shape the firm’s culture and global strategy—while strengthening its presence and good works in the Philadelphia region.
Beyond the numerous pro bono and community volunteerism efforts that Ms. McKeon has championed in Greater Philadelphia—including partnerships with organizations such as Philabundance and the Support Center for Child Advocates—her dedication to community service is reflected in her roles with legal advocacy organizations such as Equal Justice Works and arts organizations such as the Philadelphia Orchestra Kimmel Center, where she serves on the board of directors. She also is a member of the advisory board of the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession, the Penn Carey Law Board of Advisors, and the Utah Royals Football Club, and is a passionate leader for the Chamber, where she serves on the board of directors, executive committee, and Paradigm Award & Scholarship committee.
Ms. McKeon’s recent recognitions include being honored by the Financial Times as one of the most consequential law firm leaders of the past two decades, selected as an honoree of the American Bar Association’s prestigious Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement award, and named one of Philadelphia Magazine’s 150 Most Influential Philadelphians. She was previously recognized in 2019 with the Chamber’s Paradigm Award, presented annually to a businesswoman whose outstanding professional and personal achievements serve as a model for success.
Ms. McKeon will be honored with the William Penn Award at a gala hosted by the Chamber on April 23, 2026.
