Morgan Lewis Deepens Global Healthcare and Life Sciences Regulatory Bench with Brussels Partner
January 07, 2026BRUSSELS, January 7, 2026: Morgan Lewis is further strengthening its global life sciences and healthcare capabilities with the addition of partner Bart Jong from Arnold & Porter, enhancing the firm’s integrated EU regulatory and disputes platform. Resident in the firm’s Brussels office, Bart will focus on European Union and Dutch regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceuticals and biologicals. His arrival follows that of healthcare and life sciences regulatory partner Jackie Mulryne, who joined the London office in November, also from Arnold & Porter.
“Innovation and regulatory developments are transforming processes for healthcare and life sciences companies operating in the European Union,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Bart’s extensive experience advising on medicinal product development will support the sophisticated needs of our European and multinational clients.”
Bart counsels pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on the EU and Dutch regulations governing the development and commercialization of medicinal products, including marketing authorization pathways, manufacturing and distribution requirements, regulatory data and market protection, pharmacovigilance, inspections, and pricing and reimbursement, often advising at the intersection of regulatory compliance and EU-level enforcement and dispute risk.
“Clients navigating complex regulatory regimes across Europe rely on experienced counsel to guide their growth and compliance strategies,” said Michele Buenafe, leader of the firm’s FDA & Healthcare practice. “With Bart joining our expanding global regulatory team, our clients gain even greater depth across key jurisdictions, supported by seamless collaboration with our disputes and litigation colleagues in Germany and across Europe.”
“Our team in Brussels works closely with colleagues worldwide to serve clients impacted by EU legislative and regulatory developments,” said Brussels Office Managing Partner Christina Renner. “Bart’s arrival adds further depth to our talented multidisciplinary EU regulatory team and creates additional opportunities to engage in a dynamic industry. We are delighted to welcome Bart to our office.”
Bart’s arrival builds on the firm’s healthcare and life sciences growth across Europe and globally, including its established litigation and intellectual property capabilities in Germany, which frequently support clients navigating EU regulatory enforcement, investigations, and disputes, as well as the addition of Jackie Mulryne, intellectual property partners Alex Ritter, Tim Powell, and Hiroshi Sheraton, and M&A partner Luciana Griebel.
