Trump Team Loosens Leash on PE-Backed Mergers but Maintains Watchful Eye, Corporate Counsel

“The perception (is) that this administration does not have that sort of default negative approach to private equity,” Susan said.
“There’s been a clear indication from the agencies that they’re more willing to engage with the parties in terms of settlements and remedies, which has, overall, encouraged more strategic deal-making. And that applies to private equity as well,” she added.
