Distinguished Leaders: Alison Tanchyk, Daily Business Review

When asked about what advice she has for aspiring legal professionals, Alison emphasized ownership and accountability: “Assume the buck stops with you and own every case you have. You may not always be the one taking the deposition, advocating to the government, or delivering the oral argument. But approach every piece of work on a case as if you are. It will force you to put the time in to develop the best strategy, sharpen your work product, and deliver results. It will also open doors to other opportunities. The most rewarding careers are built by lawyers who combine strong legal skills with judgment, resilience, and a commitment to earning trust over time.”
