Morgan Lewis Advises BBVA Mexico on $1 Billion Offering

HOUSTON and WASHINGTON, DC, June 4, 2026: Morgan Lewis, acting as special Texas counsel for banking and regulatory matters, advised BBVA México on the bank’s successful placement of $1 billion in senior unsecured notes with a five-year maturity and a fixed rate of 5.4%.

As Mexico’s largest financial institution, BBVA México accounts for roughly 25% of the nation’s banking sector. The bank is headquartered in Mexico City and forms part of BBVA, one of Europe’s leading financial services groups.
