UK Equal Pay Proposals Fall Short Of EU-Style Overhaul, Law360

The article explores the government’s phased approach to expanding pay transparency, including requiring salary ranges in job advertisements and strengthening equal pay enforcement. Louise noted that while the proposals are less expansive than the EU directive, “they nevertheless represent a further step toward” greater pay transparency and addressing pay inequality.
Louise added that employers “should therefore monitor developments closely and consider whether their current recruitment, pay-setting and pay governance practices are fit for purpose.”
